Joint design and brazing technology that covers the tip protrusion with hard material.

By bonding cemented carbide to match the convex shape of the tool tip, we enhance wear resistance without compromising the functional shape of the tip.

If the tip of the tool has a specific shape, it is considered that the shape itself possesses functionality. However, if the physical properties of the tip do not have sufficient wear resistance against friction with the workpiece, there is a possibility that the original functionality may be compromised due to shape changes caused by wear. Therefore, a bonding design that covers the surface of the tip with a hard material without altering the mechanical properties or shape of the tip is effective. When replacing the surface of the tool's base material at the tip with a hard alloy, a joint design that takes bonding strength into account and advanced brazing technology are required. Our company can accommodate the design and manufacturing of such hard alloy brazing processes. For more details, please refer to the "Processing Technology Special Feature."

Only the cutting edge shape of the super hard tool has been improved! The base material remains unchanged.

If you want to improve the cutting edge shape and the rake angle or other areas of action while keeping the base material as it is in ultra-hard brazed products.

In the case of cemented carbide brazed products, if you want to change only the cutting edge of the cemented carbide tip, you can consider improving the cutting edge shape. The cemented carbide is brazed to the base material. Therefore, by reheating it to the melting temperature of the brazing material to melt the brazing material and remove the cemented carbide tip, a new cemented carbide tip can be attached. For example, if you want to change the rake angle of the cutting edge of the cemented carbide tip, you would remove the tip, cut the base material, process a new brazing surface, and then braze the tip again. If you also want to change the shape of the tip, you would braze a new tip of a different shape. While care must be taken regarding the thermal stress effects and structural changes to the base material due to reheating, if these issues can be managed through temperature control, it is possible to make improvements only to the functional parts of the tool while using the original base material. For more details, please refer to the "Processing Technology Special Feature" materials.
